Craster is one of Northumberland’s best-loved harbour villages, known for its oak-smoked kippers and stone-built cottages. From the property, guests can walk directly to the harbour wall and follow the coastal path north towards Dunstanburgh Castle and Embleton Bay.

Dog owners will enjoy the scenic walk to Dunstanburgh Heughs, a section of the Northumberland Coast Path that runs just beyond the village. The Jolly Fisherman Inn serves seafood lunches with sea views, while nearby Howick Hall and Gardens (2 miles) offer woodland trails and a tea room linked to Earl Grey. Alnwick, with its castle and market town atmosphere, is around 7 miles inland.
