2 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 4 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · COAST PATH OUTSIDE

The Haven puts you straight into the kind of Beadnell stay this page is built around. The Northumberland Coast Path passes the cottage, so you can clip on the lead and begin walking without driving anywhere first. Beadnell Bay is half a mile away when the dog wants sand and water rather than another long route.

Inside this coastal cottage, the open-plan lounge and dining room has stripped wooden floors, comfortable seating and a wood burner for colder days. An antique dining table and traditional furniture give the beach cottage plenty of character. Both upstairs bedrooms face the sea, making those uninterrupted coastal views a welcome extra when the big dog walks are finished.

The wooden floors are practical when everyone returns with sandy feet and paws, while the utility room provides useful extra space for wet coats and walking gear. There is also a landscaped rear garden with outdoor furniture, plus private parking.

For a longer day out, the coastal path continues towards Bamburgh in one direction and Craster in the other. The village shop and places to eat are also close by. Short beach walks, full days along the coast and a wood burner waiting afterwards: The Haven delivers exactly what we wanted for this list of Beadnell beach stays.

3 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 5 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · SEAFRONT LOCATION

Topcliffe pairs its seafront position with a kitchen-diner that quickly becomes the centre of the stay. Coffee and quick breakfasts work at the breakfast bar, while the wooden table gives everyone somewhere to eat properly later. Nobody is shut away cooking while the rest of the group sits in another room.

The sleeping arrangements in this Beadnell beach cottage are unusually flexible. One guest can take the ground-floor single bedroom with its own shower room, while both upstairs super-king bedrooms can be changed into twins. A separate family bathroom prevents everyone queuing for the same shower after returning from the beach.

At the rear, the south-facing enclosed garden gives the dogs somewhere to go first thing in the morning. Mature hedges, flower borders, and an outdoor table make it somewhere you will want to sit, especially when the afternoon sun reaches the garden.

Beadnell Bay is around half a mile away, with The Craster Arms a similar distance in the opposite direction. Follow the coastal path for three miles, and you reach Seahouses; carry on for another three, and you arrive in Bamburgh. Topcliffe is the sort of place where a quick dog walk can turn into lunch beside Seahouses Harbour and, if your legs allow it, a full day along the coast.

3 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 7 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · BEACH 0.2 MILES

Beadnell Bay is 0.2 miles from The Beach House. You can take the dog down before breakfast, return for coffee and head back later with towels and beach gear. From the bay, the sand and coastal paths open up longer walks in either direction.

The main living area matches the size of the house. A vaulted ceiling and large picture windows give it plenty of light and space, while the kitchen, dining area and lounge sit together without feeling crammed. Patio doors open directly onto the furnished decking.

The deck is enclosed, giving the dogs outdoor space immediately beside the living area. Bedrooms are divided between the ground and first floors, while two bathrooms and an additional WC make the house practical for a full group. There is also off-road parking for two cars.

The village shop and pub are within a mile, and guests can use the on-site tennis courts. At The Beach House, the beach can be the first walk of the morning, the afternoon plan and the final outing before dark.
