Plug in at the cottage and take charging off the holiday to-do list.
At Northumberland Dog Stays, we’ve narrowed the listings to three dog-friendly stays in Beadnell with an EV charger at the property. That sorts the car, while the cottages themselves work for you and the dog.

Three Stays That Make EV Travel Easier
Each one has charging available for guests and was chosen as a dog-friendly cottage first, not simply because it has somewhere to plug in. Take a look through the three stays below first. If none feels quite right, they are only part of Beadnell’s dog-friendly choice. 3 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 6 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · ON-SITE EV CHARGING
The on-site charging point may solve the search, but it isn’t the best thing about Mariner’s Cottage. Behind the stone exterior, every bedroom has luxury linen and towels, while the upstairs bathroom gives you both a deep bath and a power shower.
The sleeping arrangements are flexible. A ground-floor room can be made up as a twin or super-king and sits beside a wet room. Upstairs, there is a super-king and another zip-and-link room that can be arranged as a twin or king. It works for three couples, a family or several generations without putting anyone in the living space.
Two dogs are welcome. You enter through the kitchen and dining room, which is a sensible route back in with wet paws, while doors from the separate lounge open onto the south-facing courtyard. The stone-walled outside space has a table and barbecue, and the wood burner waits inside when Beadnell’s weather turns.
Private parking for two cars is close to the cottage, with an additional space farther away. Beadnell Bay and Annstead Beach are both about a mile away, while the village’s places to eat and drink are closer. Mariner’s Cottage is the rare practical EV choice that still feels like the cottage everyone hoped you had booked.
3 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 6 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · EV CHARGING ON SITE
The top-floor lounge is what makes Levante Cottage more than a house beside the beach. A wide dormer window looks over Beadnell Bay, the harbour and the old lime kilns, with the coastline visible in both directions. There’s a kettle, fridge, mugs and glasses upstairs, so morning coffee or a late drink doesn’t mean breaking away from the view.
The bedroom arrangement leans towards families, with a double room overlooking the beach, a twin and a bunk room. The double has its own walk-in shower, with a second bathroom serving the other rooms. Downstairs, the main lounge and dining room have a wood burner, while the extra room upstairs gives six guests somewhere else to spread out.
Two dogs are welcome, but the house rules require them to stay downstairs. That matters if your dog normally sleeps beside you. The small patio is walled, and an outside tap helps with paws and feet after the short walk back from the sand.
Levante sits beside Beadnell’s historic lime kilns, close to the harbour and beach at the end of a no-through road. Off-road parking and an EV charging station are available at the rear. Here, the first decision each morning may be whether to watch the bay from upstairs or head straight down to it.
2 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 4 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · EV CHARGING POINT
One step gets you inside Gan Hyem; after that, everything is on the ground floor. That includes the route to the fully enclosed rear lawn, which suits older dogs that are happier without stairs. Both dogs also stay free.
The electric car charging point is on site, alongside private parking for two cars. The kitchen and dining room overlook the garden, so you can keep an eye on the dogs while breakfast is being sorted. There’s outdoor seating, a barbecue and storage for bikes too.
A double and a twin give four guests proper bedrooms, making the bungalow straightforward for a family, two friends or a couple wanting more room. The separate lounge has a wood burner for the days when Beadnell’s weather sends you home earlier than planned.
The beach is 400 yards away, and the village shop, pub and restaurant are all within a similar walk. From the sand, you can continue north towards Seahouses, two miles along the coast. That puts the morning dog walk, a pint and anything forgotten at the shop within the same small pocket of Beadnell.
An EV charger may be the practical priority, but it does not have to be the only reason to book. Compare our Luxury Sea Views or Beach Stays if you would also like a more indulgent cottage, a coastal outlook or easier access to the sand.
