Bring the whole group together without anyone feeling on top of each other.

At Northumberland Dog Stays, we’ve dug through the listings, checked the layouts and read the reviews to find three large dog-friendly stays in Beadnell that offer more than the right number of beds. Each has communal areas for spending time together, plus enough bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor space for people to spread out when they want to.

3 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 8 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · DOUBLE-HEIGHT LIVING AREA

Northolme’s open-plan living area with high ceilings is what makes it work for a larger group. The kitchen, dining area, and lounge are all in one spacious room with large windows so that everyone can cook, eat, and relax by the wood burner together. French doors open onto a wraparound deck.

The bedrooms suit families or groups of different ages. There’s a double room on the ground floor for anyone who wants to avoid stairs, a king-size room with its own shower, and a room with both a double bed and bunk beds. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower, which helps busy mornings go smoothly.

Outside, the deck has both dining and lounge furniture. There’s a gated area and an outdoor tap to help clean up the dogs after the beach. You can book a seven-seat hot tub for an extra fee, and there’s a shared tennis court. Parking is limited to two cars, so plan group arrivals.

Beadnell Bay is just a two-minute walk away, and there’s a restaurant and bar nearby too. Guests have liked the bright, open layout and the location.

4 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 8 · 3 DOGS WELCOME · SEPARATE GARDEN ROOM

No. 5 Longbeach Drive offers four real bedrooms, so no one has to sleep on extra beds in shared spaces. There are two king-size rooms, a super-king that can be set up as a twin, and a fourth twin bedroom. One of the king rooms has an en-suite, while a family bathroom and a downstairs shower room serve the rest of the house.

Downstairs, the kitchen, dining area and lounge are all open, so everyone can cook and chat together. The lounge has lots of seating around the Smart TV. The listing says the dining table seats six, but the photos show eight chairs, so it’s a good idea to check the current setup before booking.

The enclosed back garden gives the dogs a contained outdoor area, with seating and a barbecue for everyone else. There is also a garden room with its own TV, which is handy for kids or anyone who wants some quiet time. The garage stores bikes and beach gear, and guests say there is parking for four cars.

Beadnell Bay and The Landing restaurant are just a two-minute walk away, so dog walks can start without loading everyone into the cars. Guests mention the spacious bedrooms, well-equipped house, plenty of parking and the garden room. One guest called it the perfect size for a group holiday, with a layout that makes it easy to spend time together.

6 BEDROOMS · SLEEPS 14 · 2 DOGS WELCOME · PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS

On The Watersedge moves into a different size bracket. Its separate sitting room and kitchen-diner give a full group two substantial communal areas, giving you a comfortable spot without crowding the kitchen.

The bedrooms are set up to give everyone plenty of privacy. Four rooms have their own en-suite showers, and several are on the ground floor. There is also a family bathroom and a separate cloakroom for the rest of the house. With a mix of king-size, double, twin, and family rooms, your group can choose the sleeping arrangements that work best.

The enclosed lawn gives both your group and your dogs lots of space to enjoy the outdoors. The enclosed lawn has garden furniture, a barbecue and an optional hot tub. Two dogs are welcome, and you can ask about bringing more. You have your own private path to the beach, so you can start dog walks or enjoy the sea right from the garden.

There is plenty of off-road parking, which is helpful if people are arriving at different times. The local shop is just 0.1 miles away, and the pub is 0.3 miles from the house. The private path is the real advantage: people and dogs can move between the house, garden, and beach without having to organise the whole group.
