Sea Croft in Beadnell

A bright detached bungalow for five, with an enclosed garden, open fire and room for two dogs. Beadnell’s pubs, places to eat and long sandy beach are all within walking distance.

About Sea Croft

Sea Croft gives a family plenty of room without spreading everyone over several floors. Its two bedrooms, bathroom and shared living areas are all on one level once inside, although several steps lead up to the front entrance.

A private driveway leads to this attractive bungalow, with around five or six steps rising through the front garden to the covered entrance. It is worth knowing about these before booking if anyone in the group finds steps difficult.

Inside, the sitting room feels particularly bright. Huge front windows bring in plenty of daylight, while two large sofas face each other around the stone feature wall and open fire. It is a much more sociable arrangement than having every seat pointed towards the television.

The open fire is available for guests, with starter fuel supplied between October and March. Alongside the exposed stonework, wooden-style flooring and comfortable furniture, it gives the room a warm feel without making it dark or overly traditional.

The sitting and dining areas flow into one another, so nobody preparing a meal or sitting at the table feels cut off from the rest of the family. The dining table seats the property’s five guests, and glazed doors provide a direct connection with the garden.
The modern kitchen is a good size for a two-bedroom property. There is plenty of worktop space, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher covering the practical side of a family stay.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor. One has a king-size bed. The second is a useful family room containing a double and a single bed, rather than squeezing three guests into bunks. This arrangement works well for parents with a child or three children sharing.

The family bathroom includes a bath with a shower over it. Its modern finish continues the clean, bright style used through the rest of the bungalow.

At the back, the garden becomes one of Sea Croft’s strongest features. The lawn and broad patio provide different places for children and dogs to spend time outside, while the garden is described by the provider as enclosed.

There is plenty of outdoor furniture, including a dining table and relaxed seating beneath a pergola. The grey raised seating area appears to have composite-style decking, although its exact material is not confirmed. A glass-wrapped garden area brings in plenty of light and looks out towards the neighbouring fields.
